Dear St. Peter’s Family:
After serious prayerful consideration and consultation with the leadership of our church, St.Peter’s is taking steps to be proactive in mitigating (lessening the severity) the exposure and spread of the coronavirus at our church.
In consideration of steps recommended by the Governor of Kentucky and the United Church of Christ, effective immediately and until further notice, the following actions will be taken to ensure the health and safety of our church family and others:
1. Cancel all gatherings, events and meetings, including worship services for Thursday, March 12, 2020 through Sunday, March 15, 2020.
2. Cancelled activities will include the Saturday Dare to Care Food Pantry and Saturday Worship Service, Sunday Worship Service, All Choir Rehearsals.
3. All meetings -- including all boards and committees, pre-marriage couple discussions as well as Bible Study -- will continue as scheduled on Messenger video.
4. Sunday Worship Service will be online at 10am Sunday, March 15th. The online platform will be announced on the St. Peter’s FaceBook Group site.
5. We will re-evaluate the services and weekly activities on Monday, March 16th. In the meantime, we will have the sanctuary cleaned and sanitized for the protection of all our weekly participants for when we gather again as a faith community.
As we go through the rest of this week in social distancing and/or isolation let us pray fervently and faithfully for a speedy end to this pandemic.
The safety and health of our members and visitors is our first priority. Please continue to lift the people of this land; our city, nation and world in your prayers, trusting God to do a miraculous healing in our midst to bring about an end to the corona virus.
Prayerfully,
Pastor J
